Welcome 2011, and Happy New Year everyone!
2010 was a fun year, and there were a lot of big things that happened - I started this blog, started a new job, had my first wedding anniversary with the man of my dreams (yes you), and my best friend gave birth to quite possibly the cutest baby girl I have ever seen.
But, in spite of the great year - I am ready for 2011. I am not big on New Years resolutions, but I can't help but be happily overwhelmed by the possibilities of a new year. So far, the list for Richard and I is quite exciting - trip to Mexico with Richard's family in March (what? what do you mean it's only January?), bathroom renovation that will be finished even if it kills me, and, hopefully, lots of time on our friends' boat this summer.
As usual for this time of year, I am in a major clean up and clean out mood. I am also desperate to find some great pieces to add to my house (junk out, pretty stuff in). I am currently thinking lots about our upper hallway, even though it is an impractical choice because guests do not see it and the main hosting rooms in the house are currently quite scary. I am looking for a small table for the hall to balance some decorative pieces, and maybe, if there is room, even house some practical items (but probably not). These are a few more photos of entrance areas that I am keen on, but I figure the same design principles apply to an upper hallway.

Hi! I love this big round mirror! Is it available for purchase somewhere?
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm not sure where they sourced that mirror - it is beautiful though, isn't it!
